Emergent Curriculum and Learning through Play
Children are closely observed by program teachers allowing them to learn based on their observed interests. We believe that a child should be an active participant in their learning and therefore our teachers develop projects around the emerging interests of our children. Through these projects, children and teachers work as a collaborative team learning by exploring and manipulating objects, asking questions, solving problems and performing experiments.

Big Dreams Montessori believe that children should learn through play as play is an essential and fundamental part of child’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Learning within the program is made visible through observation and documentation. Teachers observe the children as they learn, take photographs, and document what children say as they learn. Rooms are filled with evidence of children’s learning through play and discovery.
